An exceptional opportunity presents itself for a Senior Pastry Sous Chef to be part of an iconic London Opening.
Reporting into the Executive Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional pastry items for multiple food and beverage outlets and event spaces across the hotel with the ability to pre-empt and deliver a luxurious and high-quality level of service to both the guest and residences whilst managing delivery and service targets.
You will work in close contact with the wider food and beverage team to ensure smooth and consistent service whilst surpassing the guests’ expectations.
Specifically as the Senior Pastry Sous Chef:
- Ensuring recipe standards, wastage and cost control standards are met.
- Involved in recruiting, training, and managing all members of the pastry team.
- Detailed and precise communication with staff and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Preparing items for service whilst managing time sensitive targets.
- Work closely with the front of house, events, and beverage teams.
- To be a hands-on leader and mentor for your team and the wider hotel.
What are we looking for?
- Recent experience at a pastry sous chef level within a multi outlet venue or hotel.
- Market knowledge of competitors and event industry trends
- Strong food and beverage knowledge
- Enthusiasm and commitment to delivering and offering the best service and experiences possible in any situation
- Proven track record of surprising and delighting guests to provide exceptional service
- Able to work with and lead a team
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- To be detail-oriented and consistent
