Picpoul de Pinet: the single grape-variety appellation bound to the Mediterranean Sea
10 years since the officialization of AOP Picpoul de Pinet, the single-grape varietal that embodies this appellation has won over the hearts and minds of many with its accessible freshness and minerality. Join us for a trade tasting at Light Bar London to celebrate the past ten years, and the next ten to come, of Picpoul de Pinet wines.
From 3.30pm on Monday 19th June we will take a deep dive into the key successes of the appellation over recent years, as well as looking to the future on matters such as the environment, price segmentation and the diversification of the appellation’s product offering.
Producers and wine houses will be on hand to present their wines: Ormarine, Maison Jeanjean, Domaine La Grangette, Font Mars, Beauvignac, Domaine Felines Jourdan and Chateau Petit Roubie.
The event will start with a masterclass focusing on carefully selected wines, followed by a free-pour ‘aperitif’ style tasting of references from the appellation to highlight the versatility of these wines when it comes to food & wine pairings.
